It’s a typical day at the metro that literally sent my head spinning for the most part. I arrived at an ungodly hour of 4 am with literally nothing in mind except for a quiz in Pharmacology, a reaction paper in Manufacturing, package insert for Manufacturing, lemon plant for Pharmacognosy, pasalubongs to pack, stuffs to unpack, and a mind- yes- a mind to condition. The terminal seemed to be the old terminal that sent me home just a couple of days ago. Static vendors and even more static passengers yawned their way to and fro acting as if it was part of a role that they have to play for a big show. The crispy cold air made my hungry stomach growl louder. But it seemed wiser to stay numb. I need to get up. I have an early class with the dean.
4.30 am- I was already trodding my way to the next most familiar thing in the world- my room. I chose to walk more slowly. I kind of know it’s the best pace I can make this day. Three steps away from the door of our area’s main entrance, I can already hear the steady swooshing of plastic bags in one of the rooms. The other room, being rather a little quite, was overwhelmed with the noisy rattling of a lazy electric fan. It’s the last day of the Medical Board Exam. “Good luck and God bless to the Medical Reviewees” I remember the sign from downstairs. Now, I wonder what that means.
5.30 am- I knew in my own righteous judgment that I have already been fairly reviewed with whatever there is to know about inhibitory and excitatory neurotransmitters in our body. I just pray that, God forbid, I wouldn’t be needing one of the dopamines to keep me today. haha.
6.00 am- It was the most anemic breakfast I ever had. With an old electric fan in the background (We have lots of them actually), in a dimly lit long dinning hall, I silently gobbled my breakfast.
The next few minutes were spent to- as I said, packing, unpacking, grooming (Oh yes), and fixing school stuff. With three false attempts to go downstairs, I finally remembered what I left in my room- my wallet. God Jowana.
The occasional dropping of calculators were all that I remembered for the most part of the day. Well, there were discussions on the uses of volatile oils and their active constituents-wow, I’m thrilled. More discussions on alcohols and how they can actually bring you to comma- interesting. And lastly, a 2-hour deliberation on REDOX reactions-enriching.
Lunch-break- minus-the-break comes.
Reaction paper done. Retyped. Reprinted. Label printed. Plant prepared. And well, lunch somehow well eaten and digested.
1pm- Shooting pictures of specimens for Wednesday’s practical exam.
2pm-Shooting pictures of specimens for Wednesday’s practical exam.
3pm-Shooting pictures of specimens for Wednesday’s practical exam.
4pm-Shooting pictures of specimens for Wednesday’s practical exam.
Sigh.
40 steps away from the itchy Botanical Garden, we headed back to the main building.
Manufacturing.
4pm-Mouthwash done. Commercial Done. Poster done. Box, Label, Insert done.
5pm- I tried listening and somehow it occured to me how my shampoo foams and cleans my hair.
6pm- We finally came to the agreement that we name our new astringent- Rejuvin- A woman’s greatest secret. DON’T SAY ANYTHING.
7pm- I headed back to legarda with a grumbling stomach.
Now anyone dare ask what’s up?
Pharmacy guys. Pharmacy.
